The 47th Annual Richland Art Fair
The 47th Annual Richland Art Fair is taking place Saturday July 17th from 9am-4pm! The Art Fair will be located at Gull Meadow Farms (8544 Gull Road). The cost for admission is free and they will have everything from jewelry to pottery, paintings to metal work, there will be something for everyone in every price range. There will also be a raffle, where you can buy a $2 chance to win one of the artworks donated to the fair by the artists.
During the event Gull Meadow Farms will only be open for limited business at their adjacent store. They will offer lemonade, kettle corn, donut sundaes, and cider floats. Lunch items will be available from food trucks.
This is a fundraiser for the Gull Lake Area Community Volunteers, who help local families in need by providing children with coats and snow pants in the fall, and food, toiletries, clothing and a toy in December. Over 500 received assistance last year. Shop for beautiful handmade items and support a great cause!
Richland Farmer's Market is Open!
Richland's very own Farmers' Market is now open! Every Wednesday from 3-6pm head to the Richland Area Community Center (9400 E CD Ave Richland, MI 49083) for farm fresh products and produce! Vendors at the Richland Farmers' Market must produce at least 90% of the products that they sell, and no mass produced or out of state products can be sold. Thus, you can be assured that you're getting local, fresh products that are produced by the person you're purchasing them from.

Expect Traffic Backups as Sprinkle Road Construction Begins in Portage
Construction on Sprinkle Road began on Monday, June 21st. The construction will disrupt one of the highest-traffic volume roads in the county, according to a news release from the Road Commission of Kalamazoo. Traffic on Sprinkle Road-- between the intersection with Kilgore Road/East N Avenue and the intersection with Milham Avenue-- will be affected by the project.
